  1. I am most interested in redemption --

What is the worst thing King Hamlet tells Hamlet about his murder -- what was he unbale to do?

Why doesn't Hamlet kill Claudius when he obviously has the opportunity.

Why can't Ophelia have a proper church burial?

  2. The worst thing that King Hamlet had to deal with with his murder was that he could not receive forgiveness. In their beliefs one had to ask for forgiveness and that would give them the ability to go to Heaven. Instead of this, King Hamlet waits in Purgatory until the judgment day that will then Hopefully allow him to go to Heaven.

Hamlet does not kill Claudius because he was in prayer when he came upon him. If he were to kill him then during the time of his forgiveness of sins he would surely go to Heaven. Hamlet thought he did not deserve such that. He wanted to kill him in a bad act so the he would receive the opposite of that.

She cannot have a proper church burial because they do not know if she killed herself or not or if she had asked for the forgiveness of her sins. This made it so that they knew not if she had gone to Heaven or Hell.

  3. King Hamlet believed that be fore you died you had to confess of all of your sins, and if you did not you wouldn't be about to go to heaven. He wasn't in hell though either. He was what you would call stuck in the middle now until god would be able to judge him and decide where he should go.

Hamlet hated Claudius and did not want him to go to heaven. Since Claudius was praying that means all of his sins up to that point would have been forgiven and he would be able to go to heaven. Hamlets wanted to make sure when he killed him he would have sins so he would go to hell.

Since she killed herself the people don't know if she was able to be forgivn. They can't have burials for people who didn't go to heaven
